Following the the opening of its city centre and Trafford Park sites last year, Canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons has confirmed the opening of another Greater Manchester store later this year.
The brand, famed for its coffee and doughnuts, will launch its seventh Greater Manchester restaurant on Manchester Road in Oldham. The new restaurant will create over 50 jobs for the local community, providing both full-time and part-time roles.
Fans of the Tim Hortons can expect dine-in seating for up to 100 guests and a drive-thru for those on-the-go, as well as a number of delivery options. In addition to its popular coffee, customers can also order freshly baked donuts and Timbits, as well as breakfast, lunch and evening meal options, including hot sandwiches, burgers and wraps.

Kevin Hydes, Chief Commercial Officer of Tim Hortons franchise in the UK, said: "We continually receive requests to open restaurants closer to where our guests are living, so we’re thrilled to reveal our opening in Oldham. Having experienced such a strong demand from fans in the area, our new venue offers another location for those in the Northwest to enjoy.
"Greater Manchester has such a great energy with lots going on, and we are proud to be a part of the community, creating over 400 jobs in the area over the last five years. Known for its impressive opening giveaways, those living in Oldham are encouraged to keep their eyes peeled and follow the Tim Hortons social media accounts for more news on what to expect when it launches later this year. In August, a fan of the Canadian chain camped out in his car for 40 hours so he could win free drinks every day for a year.
The chain, which specialises in breakfasts, pastries, donuts and coffee, has opened a number of branches in Greater Manchester in recent years, including a new branch on the edge of the Arndale Centre, just by Market Street tram stop. The Trafford Park drive-thru, close to the Asda and the Costco and opposite the Trafford Centre, also opened in August last year.
The brand has previously opened branches in Sale and Altrincham in 2017, however the Sale branch closed in 2020, and the Altrincham branch closed in September, with its staff being transferred to the Trafford Centre branch. There are other branches on Wilmslow Road in Rusholme, on Bury New Road - and another in Bury town centre - and one in Stockport.
