Canadian restaurant brand, Tim Hortons, officially opened its doors in West Belfast on Monday - with one eager fan waiting 19 hours for the opening.
The new restaurant and drive-thru is open from 6am through to midnight, seven days a week at The Kennedy Centre and to celebrate, they gifted the first drive-thru and restaurant customers with free drinks, every day for a whole year - Ben McKenna was the first to arrive at 11:30am on Sunday to win.
Tim Hortons also gave away 100 free breakfast meals to the first 100 customers this morning.

Kevin Hydes, Chief Commercial Officer of Tim Hortons franchise in the UK said: “We are delighted to opening our new restaurant and drive-thru at The Kennedy Centre today, just in time for the festive period. As a brand, we are continuing to pursue our plans for growth, with the aim of reaching our fans all across the U.K., and so this opening is an important step in our expansion.
“The team has already had a busy morning since the doors opened at 7am, and we hope to see this demand continue as we celebrate the opening throughout the week. Make sure to come down and join in the fun with our opening promotions this week."
As part of its growth in Northern Ireland, Tim Hortons recently announced that it has its eyes set on Newtownards, with a drive thru restaurant opening in Castlebawn Retail Park.
Once the date of opening is announced in the next few months, this will bring the total Tim Hortons restaurants in the Belfast area to four.
