Tim Hortons coffee shop chain announces Swansea opening date

Tim Hortons' has announced the opening date for its Swansea site. The Canadian coffee and donut brand is expanding its presence with a new restaurant and drive-thru in Swansea which will be its third venue in Wales.

The chain already has a site in Cardiff city centre and Broughton Shopping Park. The latest opening forms part of Tim Hortons plan to double its estate across the UK by the end of 2023.

Located at Swansea's Enterprise Retail Park, in Llansamlet, the new site is set to create up to 50 jobs. The new restaurant will offer dine-in seating for up to 90 customers and outdoor seating for 20 guests, as well as a drive-thru service.

Now the brand has announced that it will open its Swansea site on December 5 at 7am.

Kevin Hydes, chief commercial officer of Tim Hortons franchise in the UK, said: “We already have some real fans of the brand across Wales, so we have been counting down the days to open in Swansea. To celebrate with the local community, we have some sought-after prizes up our sleeve for the opening and can’t wait to share the excitement with our first guests on the day.

“We have recruited an incredible team of staff members who have been training hard to prepare for the grand opening, so we know it’s going to be an incredible launch.”

There are currently 66 Tim Hortons restaurants in the UK with a flagship location in Leicester City Centre.
