Tim Allen has revealed his pal Jay Leno is still in good spirits despite suffering serious injuries in a car blaze.
The Santa Clause actor, 69, visited the presenter, 72, in hospital following his skin graft operation and said he doesn't expect him to be disfigured by the burns.
Visiting him in the Californian hospital, Tim revealed the star was telling jokes during his visit.
When asked about his pal after leaving the visit, Tim told TMZ: "He's good. It's wonderful because he's feeling better. I gave him some car magazines, he did some jokes, because that's what we do."
He was then asked how Jay's face looked and said: "His face looked great," before joking: "It didn't look all that great to begin with."
He ended the chat by teasing he had chose to go with the "George Clooney look" and praised the hospital staff for their work.
Earlier in the week, the former The Tonight Show host was filmed wrapped in bandages following the terrifying incident. Footage showed the telly star in a hyperbaric chamber which will "decrease swelling, increase blood flow with good oxygenation and decrease bacteria," according to his doctor.
Breaking his silence shortly after the incident, Jay revealed what had actually happened. He said: "I got some serious burns from a gasoline fire. I am ok. Just need a week or two to get back on my feet."
He had been due to perform at a financial conference in Las Vegas on Sunday night, but was left unable to attend due to the serious injury to the left side of his face.
The cancellation of the appearance was confirmed to Forum 2022 attendees in an email issued by The Financial Brand which read: "His family was not able to provide us very many details, but there was a very serious medical emergency that is preventing Jay from travelling.
"All we know is that he is alive, so our prayers go out to him and his family tonight."
