TikToker who lost 18 stone shares B&M’s best low-calorie crisps for weight loss

A TikToker who lost 18 stone by counting his calories has shared the best low-calorie crisps on offer at B&M. The personal trainer claims you can tuck into these snacks and still lose weight.

Neil Scurrah, 41, from Blackpool, reached his heaviest weight of 36st 10lb stone in 2013 after a ‘six-month bender’ following the loss of his father. Now the accountant turned weight loss coach and personal trainer helps others transform their lives by staying in a calorie deficit.

In his latest TikTok Neil shares seven of his favourite packets of crisps on offer at B&M, all under 100 calories that ‘can fit into anyone’s calorie allowance’. The weight loss coach shares his top tips and advice to his social media, @the.real.loss.boss, each day.

The video shows Neil outside his local B&M Homestores ready to pick up some bargain snacks. Whilst the crisp aisle is many dieters’ nemesis, Neil states that he uses his careful “crisp game” to up his calorie deficit.

Neil’s first crisp of choice is a multipack of Frazzles. For an 18g packet of the crispy bacon crisps it is 84 calories. A multipack of six is £1 in B&M.

He then moves on to pick up a multipack of Walkers Really Cheesy Wotsits. The family favourite comes in at just 82 calories for a 16.5g packet. A multipack of five is £1, or 24 for £3.50.

Another of Neil’s favourites is Walkers’ Squares, cheese and onion flavour. A 22g packet contains 97 calories. A multipack of six costs £1.50 at B&M.

Neil’s fourth choice is a childhood favourite for many, beef-flavoured Space Raiders. A 13g pack is just 58 calories, making them the lowest calorie option in Neil’s selection. A multipack of six costs £1.

For those looking to spice up their pack lunches a packet of Cheetos puffs. The “flamin’ hot” flavour comes in at 69 calories for a 13g packet, while a multipack of six costs £1.

Another bacon-flavoured favourite is Wheat Crunchies, with a 20g packet totalling 99 calories. A multipack of six costs £1.25 at B&M.

Last but not least, Neil picks up Walkers Monster Munch, which come in at 98 calories for a 20g bag. A multipack of six costs £1.50.

Neil, who goes by The Real Loss Boss on social media, teaches slow and steady weight loss rather than quick fixes. He said: “Weight loss isn’t about eating as few calories as possible, it’s about eating as many calories as possible whilst staying in a healthy sustainable calorie deficit that’s going to give decent results on the scales to keep you motivated.”

He added: “Life should always be about balance whatever your goal.” Neil helps others to transform their lives by adjusting their lifestyle so that they’re in a calorie deficit each day. He credits his incredible 18-stone weight loss to “Good nutrition, tracking calories, steps, lots of water, protein, and of course smashing that gym!”

For those making a shopping trip to Aldi Neil recommends buying a multipack of Aldi’s low-calorie crisps - Snackrite Family Pack, including Onion Rings, Cheese Puffs, and Bacon Rashers - which are 90 calories for an 18g pack. The multipack costs a bargain price of £1.59 for 18 packs.
