Footage of an abandoned mansion scrawled with graffiti has been swirling social media, with many stunned at the rundown state of the mysterious building, MyLondon reports. The deserted mansion is located on one of the most affluent streets in the UK.
TikTok user @L1ronabs uploaded a clip revealing what the property looks like on the inside. The mansion is located on The Bishops Avenue, which despite once being best known for being one of the wealthiest streets in the capital, has declined significantly as the road appears increasingly downtrodden.
The video, captioned "good spot", featured Liron giving viewers a tour of the property, with text reading: "Abandoned house in North West London". The haunting exterior and interior wreckage is revealed in the video.
Graffiti features on nearly every wall, windows are smashed, and rubbish covers the floor. One viewer wrote in the comments section: "This house was so nice before it was destroyed."
Over the past year properties on The Bishops Avenue had an overall average price of £8,500,00 over the last 12 months, according to Rightmove Properties. Post-pandemic, Rightmove adds that sold prices in The Bishops Avenue over the past year had increased by 41 per cent from last year.
Lots of the viewers commented that they had already been to the deserted property. One wrote: "There’s where me and the mandem chill", while another said: "Been there it’s sick but the Floors are starting to collapse."
Others optimistically said that the house was still lovely, and could still be rescued from its downtrodden state. One follower penned: "Someone needs to renovate it and throw a project X party there." Another said: "The way I would renovate it, because it's so pretty."
The clip of the gloomy house on Bishops Avenue has now amassed over 135,000 views and picked up just under 30,000 likes in less than 24 hours.
