A TikTok content creator who’s gained fame by posting “pickup” videos with women has been investigated for allegedly filming these encounters without their consent.
Sayed, better known as @itspolokidd, has racked up over 2.3 million followers with his “flirty” videos across Instagram and TikTok.
But as reported by news.com.au, the women in the videos say they were not being told they were being filmed. Get this — they say Sayed was using Ray Ban Meta smart glasses to secretly film their reactions.
The videos are cringey to say the least, with captions like “Picking up baddies in Bondi!” and “Hitting on Aussie 10s” where he approaches women in public locations like beaches, streets, and shops.

In one video, captioned “Picking up girls in Sydney,” Sayed approaches a group of women sunbathing at Bondi Beach. He tells them he’s American and, as if that’s supposed to charm them, claims he’s here “basically to shoot my shot” because they’re “beautiful.”
After some small talk and getting one of their numbers, he does come clean and lets them know they were on camera.
“I’m just trying to — I don’t know, I feel like guys are shy, so I’m trying to show them that they shouldn’t be. I do that for work. I’m sure you’re familiar with content creation,” he tells them.
But it’s alleged that not every woman got the same courtesy. Tahnaya Jae, who said she was filmed in Kings Cross, told news.com.au that after asking Sayed to take the video down, she was blocked.
“I got off easy compared to some of the other girls. He knows this type of thing is not okay. He wouldn’t have blocked me otherwise. Total power trip,” she said.
She added she had no idea she was being filmed, with his smartglasses looking like regular RayBan sunglasses.
Another woman who was allegedly approached by Sayed at Kings Cross Station said she was also unaware that he was recording their conversation.
“It wasn’t until two different people sent me the link to the video, which was published on TikTok and Instagram, that I realized it had been shared,” she wrote on a Bondi locals Facebook group on Sunday.
“I personally do not have an account on either platform, and I would appreciate it if someone could report the video on my behalf.”

Another member of the group issued a warning post on the Bondi community page, explaining that a man has been approaching women in many public spaces and filming them without their consent.
“He appears friendly enough, however what these women don’t know is that their bodies, faces and reactions are being recorded and for some of them, posted to his 1.2 million followers on Instagram and TikTok,” she wrote.
“One of the women filmed and posted online to his TikTok had her friends see the video pop up – her friends who live all the way in the UK! That’s how wide and pervasive the spread of this content is.”
She alleged that the woman in question reported this to the police, but was told “there’s nothing we can do.”
“Regardless of how polite or nice someone is on the surface, this behaviour is predatory,” she wrote.
In an unrelated incident last year, a 63-year-old man was arrested and charged for allegedly taking intimate images without consent on Sydney’s Bronte Beach.

In a statement to PEDESTRIAN.TV, NSW Police confirmed they investigated an alleged breach of the Listening Devices Act.
“Following an investigation into an alleged breach of the Listening Devices Act committed at Bondi on Friday 7 February 2025, there will be no further police action,” they stated.
The comments on the videos are also a pretty mixed bag, ranging from asking for the women’s social media handles and complimenting his “game” to describing the interactions as “unbelievably lame” and “a hard watch”.
PTV has reached out to Sayed for comment.
