A teacher has given the low-down on the meaning behind a variety of code words school staff use when discussing children's work. The teacher, who goes by the name Miss Frankie on TikTok, uploaded a video revealing all which has now been viewed more than 1.4 million times with thousands of likes.
In the clip, the TikToker tests her friend's knowledge to see if she understands what the meanings are behind the code words she reads out. These include 'KCSIE', 'WWW', 'PP', 'LO' and 'EBI', which parents may have already seen occasionally written on their children's homework.
In the video, titled "seeing if my friend knows teacher terminology", Miss Frankie tells viewers: "Okay, I'm a primary school teacher and Zoe's a midwife. So I'm going to ask her what some of these acronyms mean that I use in work."

She then explained what the term 'LO' means, stating it is short for 'learning objective'. She then said 'PP' and 'FSM' stand for 'pupil premium' and 'free school meals', as reported by the Mirror.
She added: "If I honour a child's work when I'm marking it, I will put an EBI and a WWW," which she says means 'even better if' and 'what went well'. After, she said what 'WT', 'WA', and 'GD' mean.
"So WT means 'working towards'. WA means 'working at an expected level' and GD means 'greater depth'," she revealed. The last code is KCSIE, which she explains means 'keeping children safe in education'.
She added: "It's the safeguarding framework that we have to use. So in safeguarding training, we have to use the KCSIE."
