An Edinburgh mum got a shock that left her in fits of giggles after her 17-year-old son made a cheeky request while practising taking shots ahead of his 18th.

Sarah shared the hilarious clip and wrote: "When your autistic son wanted to do shots of lemonade practising for his 18th lol - this child has no filter."

In the sweet clip Kai pours lemonade into a number of plastic shot glasses as his mum says: "Is that us on the shots? Are we getting practising for your 18th?"

To which he replies, "Aye".

The mum laughs and asks "What? before spluttering into a fit of giggles as he says: "because I want to learn how to do stuff."

Speaking to Edinburgh Live Sarah said: "We've always liked to document the things Kai does because there's a dull moment with him and to share happiness with other people.

"He always puts a smile on your face. Kai likes to practice shots with lemonade and the rest is history...

"Nothing is ever scripted that's what makes it so original and funny my son has no filter and is so innocent."

Hundreds of social media users have been left in stitches over the hilarious exchange that has been viewed over six million times and raked in thousands of comments.

Sian Leonard said: "Sarah I'm dying he is hilarious! Bless him."

Emma said: "This is honestly such a good display of healthy curiosity and open communication with you, you guys make a good team."
