TikTok star submitted by UFC legend Nate Diaz in impromptu sparring session

Tik Tok star Bryce Hall has admitted he was submitted a number of times during a "random" sparring session with UFC star Nate Diaz.

The social media sensation has been working towards a return to the boxing ring after being stopped by Austin McBroom last summer. But he was invited to a grappling session with Diaz, where he showed off some wrestling moves before being quickly tapped on what he admits was a frequent basis.

Hall has a background in wrestling from his secondary school days, but has minimal experience in jiu-jitsu where Diaz is a black belt. He has also boxed regularly over the last year-and-a-half since agreeing to his fight with McBroom last June, and wants to fight again with Triller the likely platform.

Speaking in a snapchat video, Hall said: "Really random thing that happened to me today; we just did a late workout at zoo culture and there's this random jiu-jitsu and boxing gym next door. I see Nate Diaz, and being the fanboy that I am I walk up and he tells me to train with him.

"So I actually ended up saying yes because you can't say not to Nate Diaz when he asks you to train. I sparred Nate Diaz, wrestled Nate Diaz and he just kept putting me in submissions, so that was just my today. It was a real 'life is a simulation' type vibe."

Hall shared brief footage of the sparring session, as well as a photo of he and Diaz at the gym to his 7.2million followers on Instagram. In the video, he can be seen attempting to take the UFC star down, and eventually being put in a submission, likely tapping out shortly after the camera cuts.

Diaz has also been working towards his own comeback, although he seems to have been all but shelved by the UFC despite constant calls to fight again. He turned down a chance to fight Khamzat Chimaev in the final fight of his current deal, but the promotion won't allow him to face another opponent and then leave.

The belief behind the scenes is that Diaz will fight out his UFC deal before moving into the boxing world, where a huge money clash with YouTube star Jake Paul is waiting for him. He has, as recently as May 10 declared that the UFC "put him on ice", and took to social media to share a photo of himself urinating on the promotion's Performance Institute in an effort to get released.

"UFC got me on ice for a year now Chandler's obviously ready to fight send a contract it’s time," Diaz said in one tweet, before two days later adding "Taking a p*** on the UFC PI. I could do this 'cause I get paid more than all you guys and they won’t cut me."

Diaz shot to mainstream stardom after defeating Conor McGregor in a hastily arranged match-up at UFC 196 in 2016. And despite taking three years off between their rematch and his next UFC outing, and going 1-3 since that first win over McGregor, he has managed to remain relevant to fans who are clamouring to see Diaz return to action.
