TikTok shows Dublin Bus door smashed after it 'hit skip' on busy city road

A bizarre TikTok video has emerged which appears to show a Dublin Bus that hit a skip in the city centre this week.

The video, which was filmed on the East Wall Road near the Docklands, was shared by TikTok user @abulou14 showing the bus inching past the yellow skip, with one of its sliding doors smashed and glass on the road.

The yellow skip was situated in the middle of the busy road, with several onlookers watching and a line of cars behind the bus as it makes its way around the skip. The video's caption reads: "How the hell he didn't see this? Dublin Bus driver."

Many TikTok users commented on the video with several noting the odd place for the skip. One person commented: "Who just leaves a skip in the middle of the road?"

A second person wrote: "Skip shouldn't be on the road in the first place." A third joked: "He'd rather skip that part."

A fourth said: "Shocking place to leave a skip." Dublin Live has contacted Dublin Bus for comment.

It comes after last week Dublin Bus launched an investigation after a bus was filmed driving on the footpath of a busy road between the Rathfarnham and Terenure areas of Dublin 6.

The video generated a major response on social media, with several politicians slamming the incident. A Dublin Bus spokesman told Dublin Live that a full investigation is underway.
