TikTok has created a new way to connect with creators - and it's similar to a classic Facebook feature.
The social media site is launching a 'nudge' button. It began its roll out last summer, but it was initially only available for certain users as developers continued to test the feature.
The nudge feature allows users to ask creators to go live. The person who sends you a nudge will be automatically notified with live updates from your account.

This a boost for small creators hoping to increase their engagement on the social media platform. To use this feature, it must be enabled by going into your settings and selecting 'nudge settings', where the the feature can be switched on and off.
You can then visit a creator's profile and tap the bell icon in the top right hand corner. Here, you are given the option to change your settings to receive notifications for live updates from that creator.
It sounds similar to the classic 'poke' button on Facebook, where users can 'poke' someone who receives a notification.
