A mum has transformed a drab council house bathroom into a stylish new one using wood pallets from B&Q that cost just £7.
TikTok user Sharon has turned the home she has lived in for 16 years into her ideal property
Her channel, A Bit Of Me 123, shows the changes she made to the her home on a tight budget.
Video footage shows how her bathroom looked before she started the work as she admitted: "I couldn't afford to rip out this council bathroom."
The 'before' footage shows a 'boring' bath with a plastic white panel which she then transformed into a wooden bathtub.
Astonishingly, Sharon spent just £7 on B&Q wooden cladding to create the panelled bath.
First she cut the wood to size using a handsaw before nailing it to the panel.
Fence paint was then used to add a chalk affect and prevent water damage.
On her TikTok feed she wrote: "Such an affordable way to make it look a bit nicer."
It cost her just £7 to create for the whole revamp, but she informed her followers the wood pack has increased her total cost to £11 for anyone wanting to copy her efforts.
More than 47,000 viewers watched the footage and praised her new transformation.
One wrote: "I’m going to do this, thank you so much for sharing.
"Looks amazing.. well done!" Another user said.
A third person added: "Love this. It looks great."
It is not the first time Sharon's DIY efforts have gone viral as she has been working for eight years to transform her dream house.
In another TikTok she said she had been offered the right to buy the property but was unable to afford it and signed a lifetime tenancy instead.
In January last year The Mirror told how a couple managed to transform their dark and dingy property into a stylish home with only £6,000 despite having no DIY experience.
Jenny, 33, and her husband Sam, 31, from London, purchased the three-bedroom 1907 Edwardian terrace house for £550,000 in September 2019.
After renting in the capital for several years, the pair were excited to have their own place and eagerly set about giving it a makeover during lockdown.
Jenny documented their journey on their Instagram account ( @se9_edwardian_terrace ) to the couple's 12,000 followers – who are blown away by the results.
She then said: "We had zero DIY experience, and only owned a screwdriver when we moved in but we were keen to learn and do as much as we could along the way,
"We made a long list of things that we wanted to change in each room and started work straight away.
“The bathroom was already beautiful when we moved in, so we were lucky that we didn’t have to do that.”
