TikTok hack shows we've been using our suitcases entirely wrong

A viral TikTok video has shown the true way to carry your suitcases with you on journeys.

Travellers may opt for backpacks or carry-on bags as they set off but the classic item for a long-haul journey is the humble wheeled suitcase. Complete with an extendable handle to combat height and length issues, it remains a must-have item for any holidaymaker.

However, it is not without fault as many will be all too familiar with the case clashing against your ankles for one reason or another. A rushed trip to the terminal will only become worse as you have to continuously battle the luggage almost tripping you up or falling on its side due to the weight straining the four wheels it runs on.

A viral TikTok video proves that we've been dealing with the stress of a wobbly, ankle-crushing suitcase for no reason other than we've been using them incorrectly. User Laurel_Magin announced to the world she had a travel hack to combat suitcase issues which has left those who watched the video in full surprised.

She clarified the "old fashioned" suitcases, which only have two wheels, are primarily responsible for the main issues travellers face. Showcasing her four-wheeled case, she walked slowly with it by her side, completely upright.

As she walked, she slightly tipped the case on its side, preventing the contents from swaying or leaning underneath or the wheels hitting her feet.

The small but effective change left TikTok users stunned in disbelief as they called the hack "genius" and "unbelievable."
