Tasmania have gone top of the Marsh One-Day Cup table after handing Victoria a 139-run thrashing in Hobart.
Experience played a key role at Blundstone Arena on Sunday with Matthew Wade smashing 86 runs off 55 balls before Peter Siddle claimed 4-22 off his 10 overs.
After winning the toss and electing to bowl, the Vics struck early with Jake Doran (12) and Caleb Jewell (4) both out with the score on 17.
Mac Wright (49) and Jordan Silk (82) then combined for a 102-run third-wicket partnership before Silk and Wade took the total to 230.
Wade had belted 11 fours and three sixes in his quickfire innings and was caught by Brody Couch at deep long-on off the bowling of Johnathan Merlo (1-37) just 14 shy of a memorable century.
More late-order big hitting got the Tigers to 6-295 with Henry Thornton (2-55) and Couch (2-63) the pick of Victoria's bowlers.
Their batters' reply though was meek, falling to 3-30 inside seven overs after Mackenzie Harvey (3), Jake Fraser-McGurk (19), and Aaron Finch (0) were dismissed. Australia's limited-overs captain Finch, one of Siddle's four scalps, falling for a first-ball duck.
Glenn Maxwell (44 off 66 balls) and Peter Handscomb (27 off 33) offered some resistance but the Vics were finally bowled out for 156 in the 41st over.
Tom Andrews (3-34) and Nathan Ellis (2-19) provided good backup to Siddle.
The Tigers finished on 17 points after their six matches, two ahead of NSW but having played one more game.
Tasmania need either Victoria to beat Western Australia or South Australia to beat the Blues in the final two games on Tuesday to qualify for Friday's final at Junction Oval in Melbourne.
