Tigers left fielder Akil Baddoo will probably never forget the time he tried to steal a base against the Guardians, only to fail in a spectacularly painful way.
This brutal moment happened in Monday’s night game in Cleveland when he took off for second base. Guardians catcher Mike Zunino fired a ball to the bag but it got away from him a little bit and hit Baddoo right in the groin. Making matters even worse for Baddoo, Guardians second baseman, Andrés Giménez, was somehow able to secure the ball in his glove and get the out.
This was just a total disaster for Baddoo:

MLB fans had jokes:
Pretty unusual to “get two” when there’s only one runner trying to steal https://t.co/EBiqjU4XmL https://t.co/EDYlFeYWsd

Positive stretch the last few weeks aside, this basically sums up how Tigers fans have been treated since Chris Ilitch took over https://t.co/Iroiwa5cId

To get hit in the nuts with a baseball and get called out at the same time, gotta be a bad way to go out https://t.co/pHApOuOrRo
