Fans remain concerned about the health of Tiger Woods after the golfing great pulled out of this week's Hero World Challenge event with a foot injury.
The 15-time major champion last played at St Andrews for The Open Championship in July and continues to be plagued by injuries after a car crash last year.
Tiger hosts the Hero World Challenge event which will see 20 of the world's best golfers competing in Bahamas. The return was scheduled to be the first of three events for the American which could have seen him jump up the Official World Golf Rankings with an impressive performance.
However, the golfing great has now pulled out of this week's event after suffering from foot injury plantar fasciitis in practice.
Woods posted a statement announcing his withdrawal from the tournament stating: "In my preparation and practice for this week's Hero World Challenge, I've developed plantar fasciitis in my right foot, which is making it difficult to walk. After consulting with my doctor and trainers, I have decided to withdraw this week and focus on my hosting duties.
"My plan is still to compete at The Match and PNC Championships."

Woods will be hoping his foot injury has improved in time to join Rory McIlroy to take on Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas in an epic edition of 'The Match'. The exhibition 12-hole event will take place in Florida on December 10.
Tiger will then join talented son Charlie in the PNC Championship alongside son Charlie after the pair finished second last year behind John Daly and his son John Jr.
Woods has only played The Open, the PGA Championship and The Masters this season after accepting his golf career would be part-time due to the injuries he sustained during a car crash last year.
However, following the news of Woods' latest foot several fans have taken to social media asking to star to call time on his glittering career.
One fan posted: "Tiger, you’re the GOAT. There is nothing left to prove, especially at the expense of your body/quality of life. It’s time to hang it up…" Another fan also urged Woods to put his health first: "Take care of your health, you gave us enough already to last a lifetime.
"Thank you for the opportunity to watch as you mastered your craft and forgive us for our critique of your life. We did not deserve the former and are not qualified to perform the latter."
