Golf icon Tiger Woods mocked NFL superstar Tom Brady on social media after the legendary quarterback posted about a stellar hole-out - only for the 15-time major champion to showcase his countless finishes from across his career.
The exchange occurred when Athlete NFT site Autograph - whom Brady is a co-founder of - announced they were set to collaborate with the PGA Tour to create digital collectibles of the Tour’s ‘most iconic moments’. Brady is a keen golfer, which makes the partnership particularly understandable.
After posting the announcement to Twitter, Autograph shared a clip of a number of moments, showcasing some of the most impressive, famous and iconic moments in golf history. It showed shots from Justin Thomas, Jon Rahm and Woods among others.
Brady decided to poke some fun and throw his hat into the mix, with the seven-time Super Bowl champion replying with a video of his own impressive hole-out from earlier in the offseason. He wrote: “As co-founder, I may need to mandate this one get added.”
Woods is also part of the Autograph venture alongside Brady and the former champion decided to hit back at the Buccaneers quarterback. The 46-year-old has obviously enjoyed plenty of mesmerising hole-outs across his illustrious career, and he replied with a compilation of his best.
Woods added the caption: “Our team at @Autograph knows better. I remember my first hole-out. And my second. And my third. And…”
Brady realised he was firmly put in his place, replying: “Alright we get it,” along with a laughing emoji.
Woods remains a key figure in golf, provoking emotion as he competed at the 150th Open Championship while also speaking out against the rise of the controversial LIV Golf series. Recently, the American has teamed up with Rory McIlroy to unveil an opportunity for the PGA Tour and its players to hit back at the Saudi-backed series.
Woods and McIlroy reportedly led a meeting for PGA Tour players as they pitched the idea as a long-term opportunity for players to build equity in the enterprise, which will have private funding as well as corporate partnerships and sponsors. The proposal was reportedly received well by the 22 players who attended the meeting and the plan has been passed onto PGA Tour chief Jay Monahan.
After the 23-player meeting for PGA Tour members, McIlroy lavished praise on Woods, labelling him as the ‘alpha’ of the group. He said: “We're all great players but we're not Tiger Woods.

“He is the hero that we've all looked up to and his voice carries further than anyone else's in the game of golf. His role is navigating us to a place where we all think we should be.
“I think it's pretty apparent that whenever we all get in the room there's an alpha in there and it's not me. He cares a lot.”
The Northern Irishman added: “It shows how much he cares about the tour, it shows how much he cares about the players that are coming through and are going to be the next generation.
“He's carried the tour for a long, long time. Players that were his contemporaries, we've all benefited from that.”
As for Brady, his Tampa Bay Buccaneers battled to secure a 20-10 win over the New Orleans Saints at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. It was the 45-year-old’s first regular season win over the Saints - his NFC South rivals - since joining the Bucs from the New England Patriots in 2019.
