Richmond spearhead Tom Lynch will be fit for the AFL elimination final against Brisbane after being cleared of a serious groin injury.
Lynch was substituted in the final quarter of Saturday's 66-point win over Essendon, after booting five second-half goals.
The key forward reported groin soreness that worsened throughout the second half and was icing on the bench before being sent for scans on Sunday.
Lynch has kicked 60 goals this season, 21 in the past month alone, and his absence would have been a hammer blow to Richmond's hopes of progressing.
But the scans have cleared Lynch of any serious damage, while the pre-finals bye gives him more time to recover before facing the Lions at the Gabba on Thursday, September 1.
"His scans were good," Richmond physical performance manager Peter Burge said in a statement posted to the club's social media accounts.
"He will be available to play in our first final with the extra week's break."
The Tigers could receive further boosts ahead of playing Brisbane in a final for the third time in four years.
Coach Damien Hardwick had also flagged superstar Dustin Martin could play his first game since suffering a hamstring injury in round 16.
Jack Graham (toe) is also expected to put his hand up for selection.
