Tiger King star Joe Exotic is planning his third wedding – to a former fellow prisoner.
The colourful ex-zoo owner has filed for divorce from husband Dillon Passage so he can marry John Graham.
According to his lawyer, Autumn Blackledge, Netflix star Exotic met tattooed Graham in February 2021 when they were locked up at FMC Forth Worth in Texas.
Even though John has since been released, the pair remain in love.
Exotic – whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage – says of their union: “God works in amazing ways.”
According to court documents, Graham was in prison for burglary and possession of a firearm. He was sentenced to more than 12 years in 2012, although jail records show he was released early – on March 15 of this year.
Exotic, 58, married Dillon in December 2017. It was only two months after the death of his previous husband Travis Maldonado, who accidentally shot himself.
Eccentric Exotic ran an animal sanctuary in Oklahoma.
He shot to fame in 2020 when he featured in the Netflix series Tiger King, which charted the rivalries between the owners of exotic zoos – hence his adopted surname.
He is currently serving 20 years for a murder-for-hire attempt on animal rights activist Carole Baskin, who owns an animal sanctuary in Florida. The pair had a decades-long dispute.
Exotic allegedly instructed an undercover government agent to “cap her and drive off” during a meeting in 2017.
