The second matchday of the World Cup group stages is nearly over after a number of Arsenal transfer targets were in action on Sunday.
Possible attacking acquisitions were mostly on the agenda for the Gunners scouts yesterday with strikers Youssef En-Nesyri and Jonathan David in action while Ferran Torres' and Youri Tielemans' places in their respecting countries starting XI could be in doubt following their ineffective performances.
football.london will be covering the performances of Arsenal’s potential transfer targets across the tournament.

Ensure to return after each matchday for comments on the performances of the players the Gunners have been linked to throughout the tournament.
Youri Tielemans
Dropped by Roberto Martinez in favour of Amadou Onana, the Belgian midfielder was brought on in the second half as the Red Devils were unable to break through. However, it would be just 12 minutes after the introduction of the Leicester City man that Morocco took the lead.
Tielemans is amongst the younger portion of the players getting regular minutes in the tournament. His underwhelming performances are perhaps saved by the scrutiny falling in head coach Martinez’s direction who will almost certainly leave after the tournament.
Youssef En-Nesyri
Another disappointing performance from the Sevilla striker again showing why Arsenal were perhaps right to avoid moving for the striker. He was brought off moments before his side took the lead against Belgium.
It is unlikely that he will be dropped for the final group game against Canada, but the pressure will be on him to score. En-Nesyri managed just one goal in the previous World Cup in his sole 18-minute cameo against Spain, but so far with far more opportunity been able to match it.
Jonathan David
Unfortunately, despite his profile and the associated expectation, Jonathan David was unable to get into the game as Croatia knocked out the spirited Canadian side. A first World Cup goal for the nation was scored by their other talisman Alphonso Davies who certainly hasn’t disappointed in this tournament.
Arsenal seem to have avoided a serious investment if these displays are anything to go by. That said, there was a serious lack of service to the forward which might bring some reprieve to the criticism he faces.
Ferran Torres
The former Man City forward bagged a brace in Spain's ruthless 7-0 win over Costa Rica in their World Cup opener but faced a tougher task breaking the resilience of the German defence, despite their 2-1 loss to Japan last week.
Torres missed a golden opportunity in the first half after firing over Dani Olmo's cross from inside the penalty box but his blushes were saved by the linesman's flag. However, Torres was unable to get any other opportunities and was replaced by Alvaro Morata in the 54th minute.
The former Chelsea forward opened the scoring just eight minutes after coming on which may leave Torres' place at the tip of the Spain attack in doubt.
