A man who once loved living life outdoors has been left stuck in a bed inside his parent's house. Noah Greaves was working in Inverness when he was bitten by a tick.
But four years down the line he has seen his health deteriorate to the point where he is bedbound, living in the front room of the house where his mother cares for him. He has grown so weak that he cannot eat without help and is unable to walk.
The 29-year-old, from Huddersfield, contracted Lyme disease when he was bitten by the tick when he was working outdoors in the Scottish Highlands. He began to feeling unwell and started to have severe tremors and weakness with his condition continuing to get worse.
Doctors initally diagnosed him with Multiple Sclerosis, however after speaking with specialists it was finally discovered he had Lyme disease. Today he is bedbound and completely reliant on his parents with his mother retiring to take care of him., reports Yorkshire Live.
Now his best friend, Sylvia Suddes, is desperate to get help in the hope of getting Noah back on his feet. Sylvia, who studied at Kirklees College with him, said: "He studied countryside management which was the reason he was in Inverness working, he got bitten by a tick which gave him Lyme disease.
"His doctor insisted it was MS but its not. When I go to visit him he can't get out of bed so his mum has to look after him, he cant make food or do anything. He studied to work outside and he hasn't even left one room - it kills me to see.
"The first time I went to visit him he couldn't do anything, his hands were clawed. This is a strong young man and ever since he was bit he has just been in the bed. He cant use his fingers or hands.

"Luckily his parents are together and he has three siblings who are supporting him. He's a champion but its so advanced now we can't know if he will get his movement back - but anything has got to be an improvement. I just want him to be able to come to my allotment and come and sit outdoors."
Sylvia has set up a gofundme page to raise money to help with Noah's treatment in a bid to get his life back. She is hoping to raise £40,000 for the course of intravenous antibiotics to cure Lyme disease and accommodation. This treatment is not offered on the NHS, unless they themselves diagnose Lyme.
She added: "Noah studied at Lancaster University before working across the country including Cornwall and Aberdeen, he knows people all over, he is a dead friendly, funny guy and it kills me I just want him to get this treatment."
