Huge flames engulf Scots home as nearby residents evacuated

Emergency crews have raced to a fire at a Scots home today.

Worried local residents can be seen looking on at the blaze on Watters Crescent in Lochgelly on Thursday, February 3.

Residents have been evacuated in the wake of the fire after the alarm was first raised at around 2:30pm.

Four fire crews were called to the scene where they remain as they battle to bring the blaze under control.

A Salvation Army leader threatened his wife after she caught him having sex with a co-worker in the religious charity's office.

Brian Murphy, 53, abused partner Sara, 49, when she walked in and found him naked with Eileen McCann, who also works for the Christian group.

The dad shouted and swore before following Sara when she ran from the premises in tears.

Cold Weather Payment, Warm Home Discount and Winter Fuel support from DWP can help with heating bills

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is reminding households across the country that if they are receiving certain benefits they may be eligible for extra money to help keep their homes warm during the colder months.

You may be eligible for a Cold Weather Payment, Warm Home Discount or a Winter Fuel Payment.

So far this winter, 13,000 Cold Weather Payments have been triggered in 25 postcode areas by freezing temperature across Scotland.
