Scots households to receive £150 under cost of living plan unveiled by SNP Green Government
Over 70% of households in Scotland will receive £150 in a bid to ease the cost of living crisis.
Finance Secretary Kate Forbes said the cash would be targeted at households in receipt of council tax reduction and those living in property bands A to D.
She said this would reach 73% of all households north of the border.

Rangers fan subjected to racist abuse from 'Hibs fan' inside Ibrox
Footage that appears to show a Hibs fan allegedly shouting racist abuse at a Rangers supporter during Wednesday's Scottish Premiership match has sparked anger among anti-racism campaigners.
The video, circulated on social media overnight following the Gers' 2-0 defeat of Hibernian , sees the fan abused by someone off-camera in what is believed to be the away stands at Ibrox .
The thug, thought to be a Hibs fan, shouts at his victim: "Ya f****** P*** c***. Ya f****** n*****."
It is captioned with more racist abuse and the number "66".

Scots teacher 'who slept with pupil' claimed she went to hotel to check if pupils were doing drugs
A Scots education boss has revealed that a PE teacher who 'slept with a pupil after prom' claimed she went to the Premier Inn to check pupils for drug taking .
Education manager for Renfrewshire Council Susan Bell was giving evidence to the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) today regarding Melissa Tweedie.
Miss Tweedie faces being struck off the teaching register after a pupil claimed he had sex with her after his prom at SWG3 in Glasgow in June 2017.

Missing Alice Byrne 'entered water alone' at beach on the morning she vanished
Missing Alice Byrne 'entered water alone' at a beach on the morning she vanished.
The 28-year-old had been last seen leaving a friend’s flat in Marlborough Street, Edinburgh on New Year's day.
Prior to that, she had last been seen by her family at 2am after the bells.
Police launched a frantic investigation to find her searching houses, streets, and combing CCTV.

Incredible video shows moment tide surge zips up Scottish river
A clip showing a tidal surge up a popular Scottish river is 'making waves' online after it was posted by a stunned local.
Dr Henk Pieter Sterk was shocked to catch the incredible moment on camera as he crossed a bridge over the river in the northern Highland town of Thurso last week.
The 30-year-old shared the 45-second clip online , with the video showing a group of large waves charging towards the bridge before passing under it.
Posting it on Twitter , he described it as "incredible", writing that he'd never seen such a tide surge coming up the Thurso river before.
