Thundershower forecast today

There has been some respite from the sweltering heat and more relief is on the way as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thundershowers or a dust storm for the capital region on Thursday.

The temperatures recorded on Wednesday were 38.2 degree C during the day and 25.1 degrees at night. While the day temperature is likely to reach 39 degree C, the night temperature is likely to remain constant.

The Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) has stated in its bulletin that the highest maximum temperature was recorded in Adilabad with 42.1 degree C, whereas in GHMC, it has been 38.3 degree C at Tirumalgiri.

During the last 24 hours, rainfall of 6.5 mm was recorded at Gandhari (Kamareddy) and light to moderate rain or thundershowers are expected in isolated places.

Maximum temperatures are expected to be in the range of 39-42 degree C, while the minimum temperatures will be in the range of 22-25 degrees. Within the GHMC area, maximum temperatures are expected to be in the range of 37-39 degree C, while the minimum temperatures will be 23-25 degree C.
