Thunder star Chet Holmgren believes he was shortchanged on the stat sheet in his team’s 108-105 road victory over the Cavaliers on Friday night.
Holmgren finished the game with 16 points, 13 rebounds and a franchise-record seven blocked shots. However, after the win at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, the No. 2 pick from the 2022 NBA draft jokingly tweeted at the NBA’s official account that his number of blocks was inaccurate in the box score.
“@nba please go watch the tape and give me the correct # of blocks. Idc about stats but I worked hard af for those😂 good W thunder up lol,” Holmgren tweeted.
Holmgren posted a strong performance Friday after recording 11 points, four rebounds and three assists in his NBA debut against the Bulls on Wednesday.

The Thunder forward missed the entire 2022-23 season due to a foot injury. Now, it appears the 21-year-old is healthy and showing off his prowess as a rim protector.
