Leeds is set to see a bright and sunny start to the day on Thursday followed by light showers in the afternoon turning to heavy rain in the evening.
Temperatures will rise, following a period of cold and wintry spells, with the maximum reaching 13C by the mid-afternoon. The Met Office is predicting heavy rain and potential thunder around 6pm with more expected across the county.
The Met Office forecast for Leeds on Thursday says: "A bright start Thursday, though patchy cloud and blustery showers developing from mid-morning with a risk of thunder. Strong winds continuing. Maximum temperature 14 °C."

The day will start off sunny between 7am and 9am before some light showers expected around 10am. After this there will be cloudy patches followed by more rain in the mid-afternoon becoming heavier into the evening when temperatures will fall.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:
Sunny spells and showers, perhaps heavy and thundery, and strong winds lingering through Friday and Saturday. Colder, with lighter winds but some wintry showers developing Sunday.
