Two men are in custody awaiting sentence after an armed robbery at a shop in Stonehouse.
Stephen McDonald and Daniel Thompson masked their faces and brandished a knife and a hammer at a terrified woman.
The pair, described as prisoners, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week.
They admitted robbing the woman of money and cigarettes at the shop on Violet Crescent on August 29 last year.
McDonald, 23, was the subject of five bail orders at the time.
Sheriff John Speir called for criminal justice social work reports and deferred sentence until next month.
McDonald and Thompson, 23, were remanded in custody. Both admitted previous convictions.
