A shoplifter threatened a security guard with a knife after he was caught red-handed in an Anfield supermarket.
The incident occurred at Asda on Breck Road around 5.50pm on Saturday, November 5. A man took a number of items from the shop and attempted to flee without paying - but was challenged by a security guard.
The man then threatened the guard with a knife before making his escape.

Detectives have now issued a CCTV image of a man they believe could assist in their investigation.
Inspector Paul Rannard said: “We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened who have not already spoken to the police, or who has CCTV footage of the incident to assist in the investigation.
“I am also appealing to the man featured in this image, or anyone who recognises him to come forward. We believe they could hold information that could be vital to our continuing enquiries.”
