Police are hunting a thug who attacked a man at a car park next to a Linwood convenience store.
The 27-year-old victim was assaulted after withdrawing money from a cash machine next to the Day-Today store, in Clippens Road, at around 8.45pm on Saturday night.
While walking back to his car, the man was knocked to the ground after being punched to the head from behind.
His attacker then grabbed the victim’s wrists and proceeded to hit him several times before fleeing the scene.
Police said no money or personal belongings were taken by the suspect, who was wearing a black hooded top with the hood up, during the incident.
It is understood the victim did not require hospital treatment. Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101.
