Malaika Arora happily married Arbaaz Khan at the age of 25 in 1998. After 18 years of marriage, she legally separated from him in 2016.
We recently stumbled upon an old interview of Malaika where she spoke about how Arbaaz had popped the question to her. Talking about the same, the actress told a tabloid that she first met Arbaaz during the shoot for a coffee brand. They developed an instant liking for each other. While they had lots of fun while shooting for the ad, Arbaaz and Malaika were not able to meet in person. They developed a mutual liking while talking on the phone.
Elaborating further, Malaika shared that she had a show on her birthday, and after she wrapped it up, she went to Arbaaz's house, wherein she saw him lying in his bed and covered with a blanket. To her surprise, he was running with high fever, when he surprised her with a huge diamond ring. The actress also added that she was touched by his gesture and it is something that she will always cherish.
The couple is parents to a son, Arhaan. Even after separation, they are co-parenting their son. They are often seen coming together at various occasions for Arhaan. Arbaaz had reportedly said in an interview with Siddharth Kanan that both Malaika and he have matured with time and today they are in a better place to accept each other.
Despite several rumours about their life and relationship, the ex-couple never once badmouthed each other or washed their dirty linens in the media.
Malaika is currently in a relationship with Arjun Kapoor while Arbaaz has found love in Giorgia Andriani.
