A six-year-old girl and a 27-year-old woman were both taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by road, where they were treated for serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
Police Scotland locked down the road for almost 11 hours as they launched a probe into the horror smash. The force are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash to get in touch.
Photographs from the scene show a number of ambulances in attendance. It is understood the vehicle spun off the road and crashed through a barbed wire fence before ending up in a field.

“We are also keen to hear from any motorists who were in the area and may have dashcam footage from the A98 around the time of the crash. If you believe you may be able to assist our investigation, please call police on 101, quoting incident 1376 of March 26, 2023.”
