Three ways Antonio Conte can lineup his Tottenham side vs Norwich as Kulusevski decision made

Antonio Conte will be hoping his side can get the final point they need to secure Champions League football for next season when they travel to play Norwich on Sunday. If Spurs can get at least a draw at Carrow Road, they will stop Arsenal's chances of taking their place in the top four.

Tottenham has had to deal with a stomach bug in the last week, which forced the Italian to replace Dejan Kulusevski with Lucas Moura in the starting line-up against Burnley. However, Conte did explain in his pre-match press conference that he had the same players available for Norwich as he did for the Burnley clash.

Whoever is available to play, the 52-year-old will hope can produce a solid display to finish the season on a high. Ahead of Sunday's match, football.london takes a look at possible ways Conte can line-up his Tottenham side.

When Conte spoke to the media on Friday, he gave an update on the team news after rumours had been circulating regarding a stomach bug and Harry Kane being unwell. "If you remember the last game against Burnley, we had four cases with stomach problems," the Spurs boss admitted.

"This week, I have to be honest, we had a couple of cases about this, but we overcame this situation. Also, members of the staff for one day they were not feeling so good.

"In this moment, honestly, this virus is the last of our problems because we are very close to reach a big achievement for the club, for our fans, for the players. We are totally focused on the game, and the situation of the players, the availability, is the same as the last game against Burnley," he added.

football.london revealed on Saturday that Kane had in fact trained with the squad on the day before the game, providing a massive boost to Spurs.

Therefore if Conte's comments remain true when the team news comes out at 3pm on Sunday, then it is likely that the Italian will revert back to the starting XI that played in the North London Derby. Those that started produced a solid performance to get the 3-0 victory both defensively and offensively, and if they are all available for the trip to Carrow Road, it would seem unnecessary to make any rotations.

In Wednesday's training session, which Tottenham put a video out of, Emerson Royal seemed to be missing from the session. Conte didn't directly mention anything about him, and his admission on the team news would suggest the Brazilian is now ok, however, if he isn't available, that will cause the Italian to make a big call.

With Matt Doherty out with an injury, it leaves the 52-year-old with no other right wing-back options, which would mean Conte would need to rely on someone else to step-in. Earlier this year, the Tottenham boss did explain that it was a position that the Swede could fill.

"About Kulusevski, he's a good player. He's very young. I think he's a great talent. He can play as a No.9 if you want to play two strikers, No.10 if you want to play with two players behind the striker," Conte admitted.

"At the same time, he has the potential to play as a wing-back on the right. He has good quality. He likes to attack, he's good one-v-one, he can create chances for his teammates. A good signing for us."

This would bring the 22-year-old out of the front three and, as he did against Burnley, most likely lead Moura back into the starting line-up. However, with the hope that Emerson is ok, this unusual rotation will hopefully not be needed.

The other player seeming to be missing from the training video was Rodrigo Bentancur. However, the Uruguayan did feature in the pictures of the indoor session.

Bentancur did seem to pick up some sort of a knock during the Burnley clash but continued on the pitch for the full 90 minutes. Again, with Conte's team news admission, any problem the 24-year-old may have had is hopefully now resolved.

However, if Bentancur was missing, the only player who would be likely to replace him would be Harry Winks. The midfielder was one of the original four who had been suffering from the stomach bug but was named on the bench in the 1-0 victory against Burnley and featured in the training clip, so he is hopefully fully recovered.

On Friday, the Italian did also explain an absence from training. "During the week, we had another player who missed a training session, but now he's available," he explained.

Therefore if the absence described is one of the aforementioned players, they should be available, meaning Conte may not have to make any rotations, which would be the best-case scenario for Spurs.
