There will be some decisions for Antonio Conte to make as he tries to figure out his strongest Tottenham starting line-up, after two new signings on deadline day.
Rodrigo Bentancur was the first to be announced and the Uruguay international has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with Spurs.
His former Juventus teammate, Dejan Kulusevski, also signed for the Lilywhites on the last day of the January transfer window, but his move to north London is a loan with an option to buy.
Both players will hope to make an instant impact on their new team and, more importantly, their new boss.
Both ex-Juventus players can add some much needed attacking play to the Tottenham side, which Bentancur has already shown with his goal for Uruguay scored in the first minute on Tuesday evening against Venezuela.
Conte may need some time to find the best fit for his new arrivals, but football.london takes a look at how he could line up his current Spurs squad.
Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Reguilon, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Emerson; Kulusevski, Kane, Moura
Cristian Romero's return will likely reignite the back three, playing alongside Eric Dier and Ben Davies, both of whom have performed well in recent matches.
The Italian might decide to stick to the 3-4-3 set-up he favours most and has often used since being in charge of the Lilywhites.
Bentancur has played in a central midfield position the most, in his 26 appearances in all competitions for Juventus so far this season.
Pierre Emile Hojbjerg has played alongside Oliver Skipp on a number of occasions so far this season and the Dane acts as a leader in the middle of the field.
To give the central midfield position the balance of defence and attack, as well as helping the Uruguayan international settle into Premier League football, it may be Hojbjerg that Conte chooses to play alongside him.
In the front three, the 52-year-old will have some decisions to make but might decide to start with new arrival Kulusevski, alongside Harry Kane and Lucas Moura.
The Swedish international explained that he has played in a number of positions, including as a winger and although in Conte's 3-4-3 he doesn't require the use of wingers as such, the 21-year-old could provide the attacking flair that has helped him make four goal contributions for his former side so far this season.
Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Reguilon, Winks, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Emerson; Kane, Son
There could be a rotation in the line-up if Conte opts for a 3-5-2 formation, which although he hasn't used as much, it has provided a number of effective performances from his side, including the draw against Liverpool and victory over Leicester.
The versatile midfielder that Bentancur is could see him playing in a midfield three, alongside the likes of Hojbjerg and Harry Winks.
This would also help the Italian's side get a good balance with two of the trio being more defensively minded but also showing glimpses of their ability to attack.
Winks and Skipp will be amongst those competing for a space in the middle, with both performing well in a number of games so far this season.
However with Winks' two assists this season and glimpses of good attacking play, he may get the nod in some games, over the 21-year-old.
The change in formation would leave just two places in the front line and with Son's return from injury, he may get a chance in the front two, again causing more competition, which could see Kulusevski dropped to the bench in some games.
Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Reguilon, Skipp, Bentancur, Doherty; Kulusevski; Kane, Bergwijn
Another uncertainty is the right wing-back position, after Tottenham failed to bring in a new player to fill the role in the January window.
Therefore it is Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty still battling for the spot.
Doherty had a solid second-half performance against Leicester but was given the nod in the next match against Chelsea and failed to impress. The Brazilian has also struggled to keep consistent form but is likely to still be getting used to Premier League football and Conte might rotate the two with the busy fixture schedule ahead.
In January 2020 Kulusevski spoke about his favoured position on the pitch.
"From the beginning, my role was a trequartista (central playmaker behind the striker)," he admitted. "I can play wherever the coach wants, but I see myself as a trequartista behind the strikers."
Although it isn't a formation Conte hasn't really chosen to use at Tottenham, he could play a 3-4-1-2 and slot the Swedish international in behind two strikers, which would suit him best.
If the Italian did go for a set-up that gets the best out of Kulusevski, it could be Steven Bergwijn and Kane who are the two chosen strikers.
The duo worked well against Leicester and if the Dutch international can continue to impress, he may get the nod in some games, over his competitors.
There are a number of ways in which Conte could line up his new Tottenham side and he will need to utilise all options with injuries that are inevitable and a busy schedule in the final few months of the season.
The likes of Moura, Son and Bergwijn will all have to work hard to secure a spot in the regular XI, if Kulusevski manages to break straight in. The same goes for the midfield as Hojbjerg, Winks and Skipp will all have added competition from Bentancur.
Whoever Conte gives the nod to he will hope can help add some points on the table and help Spurs have a strong end to the season.
