Three things we spotted at Rangers training as Cantwell and Raskin buddy up ahead of Scottish Cup

Rangers were all smiles at Auchenhowie as the squad prepares for another weekend of cup action.

Michael Beale's men are once again up against Scottish Championship opposition in Raith Rovers on Sunday as they look to book another date at Hampden in the competition they current hold the trophy for. Beale's side were also on form against Hibernian in midweek with a 4-1 win thanks to goals from Antonio Colak, on-form Fashion Sakala and a customary penalty from James Tavernier.

Now Glasgow Live Sport took a look at Rangers' preparations before the Scottish Cup clash in the Glasgow sunshine.

Cantwell and Raskin best of buds

Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin have settled in to life well at Rangers.

The two new lads have been clamouring to show Rangers fans what they can do, with many considering both to now be first team regulars under Michael Beale.

And it appears the two have something of a kinship as they both make the transition to Scotland.

Neither have opened their Rangers account yet but both have provided assists and are unbeaten in league games for the Light Blues.

Souttable?

John Souttar is back getting key minutes for Rangers after a horror spell on the sidelines.

The Scotland star's Rangers career hasn't really got started at all after less than 90 minutes of action on opening day of the season led to him suffering a rough injury.

The ex-Hearts man, however, was a slightly surprising name on the Rangers' B team-sheet last week to face Celtic and the centre-half got a solid showing under his belt.

Beale admitted he will need time to get up to speed but perhaps Sunday's game is the best opportunity to throw him in.

The on-form forwards

Antonio Colak and Fashion Sakala were on target for a rampant Rangers side at Easter Road.

While the Zambian is having undoubtedly his best season in light blue, Colak has been unfortunate with injuries after his purple patch at the start of the season.

But now the striker is back fit and firing and seems to be the number one choice for Beale. Sunday's game could see rotation as players have featured a lot under the Englishman but both pictured in the Glasgow sun will be looking for more and more goals.
