Three things we learned as Hibs make opponents see red again in narrow Motherwell victory

Hibs made it four wins in succession in their latest Premiership match with Motherwell, taking home three points via a 1-0 scoreline.

It was a frantic start to proceedings at Easter Road as Hibs passed up chance after chance, with the Steelmen defending valiantly against a side who had won three on the spin prior to this. Elie Youan spurned a chance and Motherwell's Matt Penney had to block an attempt on the line from club academy product Chris Cadden.

Connor Shields then reduced the visitors to 1-0 men with a last man tackle on Ryan Porteous to hand Lee Johnson's men a man advantage in the final 30 minutes of play. Porteous battered a header in to make sure they made it count Here are three things we learned from Hibs' latest outing at Easter Road.

Return of Sauzee

Before the action even kicked off here, there was a reminder for the current Hibs crop of what they can be remembered for with success.

Club hero Franck Sauzee came onto the park for the first time since he left the club over 20 years ago and the place was almost full for is arrival, a huge applause and noise awaiting him.

Chance after chance

There's battering down the door and then there's Hibs in the first half. Despite just four shots on target, they pummelled the away box with crosses and stramashes.

None of them really seemed to get them anywhere though but Porteous struck when it mattered.

Drawing fouls

A trait is forming at Easter Road. For the fourth game in a row, an away player has been sent off.

It's five in four games overall after Rangers had two men dismissed but Lee Johnson's men are finding a way of forcing the referee into decisions.
