Manchester United are prepping for an important week of Premier League football with Newcastle up first.
The Reds edged past Europa League minnows Omonia on Thursday thanks to a late Scott McTominay goal and are now on a three-game winning run. Newcastle themselves are unbeaten in four matches having scored nine in their last two games.
Erik ten Hag had a number of his players out on the training field on Friday, buoyed by the news that Anthony Martial is in contention for Sunday. He also may welcome another big figure back into the side.

Varane working on fitness as Elanga aims to impress
Raphael Varane came on for a cameo against Everton and was on the bench against Omonia but the defender has not started since suffering an ankle problem in the 6-3 loss to Manchester City. He may return to the line-up this weekend, putting in the hard yards in training.
The defender was pictured smiling alongside Anthony Elanga, who has been starved of game time of late. He has not played since the 2-0 win over Sheriff last month but will hope his efforts at Carrington can keep him in the picture.
Sancho huffs and puffs
Jadon Sancho enjoyed a successful substitute appearance against Omonia, providing the assist for McTominay. He has been benched for the last two games as Martial and Marcus Rashford continue to impress.
He is ahead of Elanga in the pecking order but he too must work up a sweat in order to reclaim his place in the side.
Joe Hugill joins in senior training
Academy hopeful Joe Hugill joined in with first-team training on Friday. He was seen enjoying his time alongside fellow youngsters Zidane Iqbal and Facundo Pellistri in a game of rondo.
The 18-year-old attacker earned a taste of what he hopes is to come after becoming a prominent figure in the youth system. He has netted more than 30 goals for the academy over the last three years.
