Three teenagers have been injured in a shooting incident near a park in Birmingham, police say.
The victims, all 19-year-old males, were injured when shots were fired in Hamstead Road, near the entrance to Handsworth Park, just after 6pm on Friday (February 24).
One of those shot was treated by paramedics at the scene, while the two others were transported separately to hospital - none of them are said to be in a life-threatening condition, reports Birmingham Live.
Multiple police officers and emergency response vehicles were spotted at the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance was among those in attendance and a police helicopter was seen circling the area at around 6.30pm.
MP Khalid Mahmood shared a video from the scene and said they had been told the street will remain closed until around midday on Saturday, reports The Sun.
West Midlands Police said in a statement: "We're investigating after shots were fired in Hamstead Road, Lozells, just after 6pm today (Friday). Officers attended and a 19-year-old man was treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital.
"Two further men, both also aged 19, later attended hospital separately with gunshot injuries. None of the men are believed to be in a life-threatening condition.
"Officers remain at the scene tonight as enquiries continue. Anyone with information should get in contact with investigators via Live Chat on our website or call 101, quoting log 3095 of 24 February."
Police officers have been standing guard at the cordon, which is preventing traffic from moving in both directions. Images of the scene depict the area locked down as the police continue enquiries into the incident.
The number 16 buses were also at a standstill by one of the entrances to Handsworth Park, while no traffic is being allowed from the roundabout at Handsworth Wood Road and Church Lane.
