Three taken to hospital after crash that closed road for hours

Three people have been taken to hospital after a crash in Ceredigion. The incident happened on the rural road between the villages of Synod Inn and Talgarreg on Thursday.

Police were called to the area shortly after 8am after reports of a two-car crash. The B4338 which connects the two villages was closed for more than four hours before reopening at around 12.30pm.

Three ambulance vehicles were also sent to the area and it’s been confirmed that three people were taken to hospital in Carmarthen. You can get the latest WalesOnline newsletters emailed to you directly for free by signing up here.

A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We were called on Thursday, June 15, at approximately 8.01am to reports of a road traffic collision in the Talgarreg area. We sent one rapid response vehicle and two emergency ambulances to the scene. Three patients were transferred to Glangwili Hospital for further treatment.” A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesman said the injuries suffered in the crash are not believed to be serious.
