A FORMER pub in Fife has been put up for auction, and bidders have until Friday to make an offer.
The three-storey Central Bar was located on Station Road in Cardenden but currently sits empty.
On its ground floor, the property has a feature bar and commercial kitchen. Upstairs there’s an office, and a function space with a separate entrance and capacity of around 140.
The basement is set up for secured storage. Though it has never been used for that purpose, it could potentially be rented out.
If someone buys the property to use as a pub, it will buck the trend of former Central Fife bars being turned into flats.
Offers must be in by 12pm on Friday, and the starting price is £143,000.
A statement on the Future Property website says that it: “Would let well to tenants given its size, location, and the lack of vacant properties in the immediate vicinity
"The building features a prominent clock tower, and large carpark area to the rear of the building, accessed off Station Road."
The building has consent to be a pub, though not a nightclub. Future Property has also highlighted the potential for new owners to seek consent for a hot food takeaway.
