Three people were rushed to hospital after a crash in Bolton last night (January 28). The smash involved two vehicles with two people having to be cut from one of the cars.
The incident happened around 9pm on Halliwell Road, Bolton, with police, fire, and ambulance crews called to the scene. The road was closed off for a number of hours after the incident.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service have confirmed two had be cut from one of the vehicles before being taken to hospital, with a man from the second vehicle also taken to hospital. Pictures and video shared on social media show a lot of damage on the road as a result of the collision.

The extent of their injuries has not been confirmed.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “Just after 9pm last night (Saturday 28th January), two fire engines from Bolton Central fire station along with the Technical Response Unit from Leigh were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on Halliwell Road, Bolton. The crews arrived quickly on scene.
"Firefighters used cutting equipment and stabilisation equipment to rescue two people from one of the vehicles, they were then taken to hospital by colleagues from North West Ambulance Service. One man from the second vehicle was treated at the scene by colleagues from North West Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital.
"Firefighters were in attendance for around two hours."
