Three players Chelsea could use to land Wesley Fofana and Denzel Dumfries double deal

Chelsea's rollercoaster summer looks set for a grand finale. The Blues have just one month remaining in the transfer window to get all their deals over the line as Thomas Tuchel looks to reshape his squad.

The German coach has managed to bring in two players so far, with a few making an exit too. However, there seems to be plenty more to come as Tuchel bemoaned his lack of new options.

Plenty more movement is therefore expected from Chelsea in the remaining weeks, with David Ornstein reporting that both Wesley Fofana and Denzel Dumfries are deals that the Blues are working on. football.london understands that talks have already begun over a deal for Fofana this summer.

A trend of some of the deals being worked on so far is that owner Todd Boehly has looked to work in some players moving the other way. With the Blues hoping to move some on while bringing options in, here's a look at a few players that could make the switch to complete a transfer for both Fofana and Dumfries.

Levi Colwill

Chelsea youngster Levi Colwill impressed last season on loan at Huddersfield, guiding the Terriers to a Championship play-off final, falling just short of a return to the Premier League. Upon his return to the Blues, his place within the squad is left unknown under Tuchel.

With that uncertainty, football.london has been told that numerous Premier League teams are interested in the 19-year-old, including Leicester City. Should they wish to land the exciting prospect, Chelsea could use him as part of their pursuit for Fofana.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Academy graduate Ruben Loftus-Cheek has struggled to seal a regular first-team spot in the Chelsea side, often used as a different option from the bench or sometimes a versatile replacement. His ability in midfield could make him useful for someone such as Leicester, who could lose some of their own midfield talent in the window.

Equally, the 26-year-old has also played some games at right-wing-back for the Blues and could be a replacement for Dumfries should he leave Inter Milan.

Ethan Ampadu

Another player uncertain of his place in the squad is Ethan Ampadu. The versatile defender spent the previous season on loan at Venezia in Serie A, impressing in his time at the club.

The 21-year-old has admitted he may need game time ahead of Wales' World Cup campaign later this year, opening up the possibility of an exit. Whether that is on loan or permanent is unknown, but his versatility makes him a useful asset for any team going into the new campaign.
