Three people taken to hospital after car hits a tree in Gateshead crash

Police are appealing for witnesses over a Gateshead crash which saw a car hit a tree and left three in hospital last weekend.

Two women and a man have been treated in hospital for non-life threatening injuries following the incident, which involved one vehicle and took place in Banesley Lane, Lamesley on June 10 at around 1.10am. Police do not yet know why the blue Citroen DS3 involved left the carriageway and collided with a tree.

Northumbria Police now wants anyone who saw the incident and especially anyone with dashcam footage to come forward to assist the investigation.
