Three Minors Die In Mexico Due To Heavy Rains

Preparation for heavy rain in California

Three minors tragically lost their lives in Mexico's Nuevo León state as Tropical Storm Alberto brought heavy rains to the region, Governor Samuel García confirmed on Wednesday night. The governor revealed that the children died while playing, emphasizing that the deaths could have been prevented with greater parental supervision.

In response to the severe weather conditions, authorities have taken precautionary measures, including the suspension of classes in Nuevo León and neighboring Coahuila state. Governor García stressed the significance of this decision, highlighting the potential dangers posed by the ongoing rain and flood forecasts.

As part of the emergency response efforts, a temporary suspension of work, transportation, and movement in Nuevo León state was announced from 10 p.m. Wednesday until noon local time on Thursday. Despite these restrictions, essential services such as hospitals and shelters will remain operational to assist those in need.

The governor's call for increased vigilance and safety measures serves as a reminder of the importance of prioritizing the well-being of children and vulnerable populations during adverse weather conditions. The tragic loss of young lives underscores the need for communities to come together and take proactive steps to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of all residents.
