Michigan State’s football program released its spring football roster on Monday ahead of the start of spring practice. Apart of the roster reveal was the good news that three of Michigan State’s seniors will be returning to school for a sixth season, using an extra year of eligibility because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
TE Tyler Hunt, OL Matt Carrick and P Bryce Baringer will all be returning to East Lansing for an additional season.

All three are very welcomed additions. Tyler Hunt will provide veteran stability to the tight end spot while younger players like Maliq Carr and Jack Nickel prepare to take the role. Matt Carrick will give the Spartans much-needed depth on the interior offensive line, being able to spell both guard positions off the bench. Lastly, Bryce Baringer was one of the nation’s best punters a year ago, bringing him back will give MSU a strong advantage.
