Three men have been rushed to hospital after a car ploughed into a police speed camera van and an SUV on the A90, near Aberdeen.
A grey Saab 95 hit the Scottish Safety Camera Unit van and a grey Skoda Karoq, which were parked at the side of the road between Dyce and Blackdog, at around 2pm on Sunday, July 17.
The drivers of the stationary vehicles – two men, aged 35 and 45 – were on foot at the time of the incident and were both injured. The pair were taken to hospital for treatment, alongside the 69-year-old male driver of the Saab.
The road between was closed until around 9pm as police launched an investigation into the smash. Enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing by road policing officers in the North East.
Inspector Scott Deans, from the North East Road Policing Unit, said: “Thankfully the injuries sustained by the three men have been described as not life-threatening.
“Our enquiries into the crash are continuing and we are appealing for anyone who witnessed it, or the vehicles involved, to please come forward and speak to officers.
“If you have any information which could assist our investigation, please call 101, quoting incident 1942 of 17 July.”
