THREE men have been taken to hospital following an early morning flat fire in Fife.
Emergency services were called to East March Street in Kirkcaldy following reports of a blaze at around 1am on Wednesday.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the scene, and three men, aged 59, 55 and 32, were taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.
Police confirmed the three men were treated for smoke inhalation.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said three appliances were called to the scene and the fire was extinguished at around 1.56am.
Police said they do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances and that enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.05am on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, police were called to a report of a fire at a property on East March Street, Kirkcaldy.
“Emergency services attended, and three men, aged 59, 55 and 32, were taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment for smoke inhalation.
“The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. Enquiries are ongoing, however, there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.”
A spokesperson from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “At around 12.45am we received reports of a dwelling fire on East March Street, Kirkcaldy.
“Three appliances were dispatched to the incident. The fire was extinguished at 1.56am.”
