Police have launched an appeal for information following a serious disturbance in the aftermath of a football match.
Fighting broke out in Dumfries on Saturday night following Queen of the South's cinch Championship clash with Ayr United at Palmerston Park.
Footage emerged online showing a large group of men brawling outside the Salutation Inn in the town's Market Square.
Police said "a number of assaults" took place involving "groups of football fans and other members of the public".
It came just moments after Queens' 1-1 draw with Ayr which saw the Doonhamers relegated to League One.
Three men aged 41, 54 and 58 were injured in the violence which happened around 5pm.
They were taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary and released following treatment.
Detective Constable Allister Queen said: “This was a serious incident and it is vital we trace those responsible.
"This level of disorder and criminality will not be tolerated.
“Not only were people hurt but those trying to enjoy their weekend in the local area were left intimidated by the behaviour of a small number of people.
“I would urge anyone who saw what happened or has footage of the incident to contact Police Scotland.
"You can do this by phoning 101 and quoting reference 2626 of 23 April 2022 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
