Three men charged after drugs worth £85,000 seized in major city

THREE men have been charged following £85,000 worth of cannabis seized by police in Glasgow.

Officers attended an address at St Mungo Place on Friday where they discovered a quantity of cannabis with an estimated street value of £85,000.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said three men have been arrested and charged in connection with drugs offences.

The three men, aged 27, 32, and 34, are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.

The force is calling on anyone who may have further information about the drugs to come forward.

Detective inspector Grant Currie said: “This recovery highlights that Police Scotland is committed to tackling serious and organised crime and bringing those responsible for the manufacture and supply of illegal substances to justice.

“Drugs cause misery and support from the public is vital to assist us in keeping our communities safe.

“Anyone with information or concerns about drugs should contact Police Scotland on 101 or make a call to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
