Three men charged after car search in East Belfast last year

Three men have been charged in relation to the search of a car by police in East Belfast last year.

The PNSI's Organised Crime Unit carried out the searches and the men have now been charged to court.

They face a range of drugs charges as well as one man facing a count of possessing criminal property.

"The three men, aged 28, 29 and 39, are charged with being concerned in the supply of a Class A controlled drug, being concerned in an offer to supply a Class B controlled drug, possession of a Class A controlled drug and possession of a Class A controlled drug with intent to supply," a police statement read.

"The 29-year-old man is further charged with possession of Class B and Class C controlled drugs and possessing criminal property.

"They are expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on July 26.

"As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service."
